Balsa Wood Plane Kits

A great introduction into flying models is a balsa wood model plane just like your grandfather would have made many years ago.  Although many great makes such as KeilKraft have long gone, the spirit of making your own flying model from pieces of balsa strip and sheet wood is very much alive.  A recent BBC program called "Flight Club" presented by James May from Top Gear & Toy Stories programs, built a large scale free flight glider based on a very early Slingsby design and flew it over 22 miles across the Bristol Channel breaking a new world record for the longest flight by a free flying model glider.  Time to rekindle your child hood memories of your first KeilKraft kit.
